Spectral Mappings
Spectral Mappings are a way of mapping the spectrum of a sound
so as to make it tonally consonant with a given specified reference spectrum.
The technique is described in Chapter 13 and in this
technical paper. A number of musical compositions on the CD-ROM utilize
sounds which are spectrally mapped for compatibility with the specified scale.
